The Gathering Chapel

Thursday Mornings

11:00 AM – Noon

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Matt 18:20 NKJV

When believers gather in one place, with one heart and one vision, something special happens.

Hearts are healed. Peace is restored. Faith, hope, and love grows, and relationships are forged that stand the test of time.

Come be a part of “The Gathering” Chapel Service at 11:00 am every Thursday.
“The Gathering” presents: The Book of Revelation

Personal Summary of the Book of Revelation:

The Book of Revelation, often known simply as Revelation or The Apocalypse, is a book of the New Testament that occupies a central place in Christian eschatology. Its title is derived from the first word of the text, written in Koine Greek: apokalypsis, meaning “unveiling” or “revelation”. This last book of the Bible identifies itself as “the revelation of Jesus Christ”, and its author is designated “his servant John” who was exiled to the Greek island of Patmos because of his faith. Traditionally, John is identified with the author of the Fourth Gospel. Addressed to seven historical churches in Asia Minor, the Book of Revelation was written to warn against spiritual indifference and to elicit courage under persecution.Revelation often seems bizarre and incomprehensible. But understanding the apocalyptic genre, the history of the early Christians, the persecutions they faced, their fears, and the issues they debated makes it much clearer. Many of the images and symbols parallel those in Old Testament books such as Daniel. Others allude to people, places and events that were very familiar to the first century Christians of Asia Minor. Extensive research in these areas has given Bible scholars a good understanding of what John’s visions were intended to mean and how they would have been understood by their original audience in Asia Minor.

Hope you can join us for an excited time of studying God’s Word.

What are people saying about “The Gathering”?

“I enjoy “The Gathering” because it’s an informal, informational, and inspirational time. You can participate or merely observe. But the time is always well spent.”

Joyce Brown

“Every Thursday morning I look forward to attending Chapel service. When Pastor Alan and Mary share the Word, they bring forth such wonderful Godly wisdom which sparks insight and inspiration in me. The group discussion allows us to share different thoughts and views and also bond together as the body of Christ. The more I hear and learn about God and His word, the more in awe I am of Him. I hope you will join us.”

“The Chapel time is great, especially as some of us come “prayed up”, directly from the Intercessory Prayer group! I like the format and setting. It is good to have a clear lesson plan laid out so that we can see what we have covered from Scripture and where we are going. Also the live streaming enables us to go everywhere with the lesson and to include many more. I am sure that the setting enables those who watch from their homes to feel like they are sitting right there with the rest of us! Thanks for setting it up this way!”
